Team’s Bio
Carlo Bosticco and Matt Randall are an international writing duo. They are proud members of Mercury Musical Development, and were handpicked for its Writing Lab II.
Their first show, “Chasing Icarus” has been privately workshopped in NYC and London. It was chosen as part of the “new writing” module at Leeds Conservatoire (2021) and dramaturgically developed. It went on to receive Arts Council of England funding. A public reading is scheduled in late 2022 w./ director Charlotte Peters (WarHorse).
Songs from “Chasing Icarus” have been selected and performed by the Symphony Orchestra of Guiyang, China (2016); The song “My Own Other Half” placed second at the “Mercury Theatre Songwriting Awards” (2019).
Their second show “Just Be(e)” was recently workshopped by the BA Musical Theatre course at Winchester University (2022), where it was selected by a committee comprised of both students and faculty.

Carlo is a member of BML (Book, Music and Lyrics).
On top of their work with Matt, Carlo has provided additional lyrics for Travels with my Aunt by Broadway veterans George Styles and Anthony Drewe.
They have worked extensively in adaptation for TV, developing animation scripts for RAI 3, Italy. They have also worked as a dramaturge for NYC company “Lisa Monde Productions”.
Carlo is the lyricist for pop act ÅRIÅNNA.
As an actor, Carlo is soon to be seen in Roman Holidays (Leicester Curve and West End).
Other acting credits include King Ludwig II in My Parsifal Conductor (Off-Broadway), the Olivier-Award winning production of La Bohème by company OperaUpClose (London), From Stage to Screen and Back Again (West End), Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet (Teatro Stabile di Verona, Italy).
Matt Randall (he/him)

In addition to his musical theatre work with Carlo, Matt is co-writer for pop singer-songwriter Hege.
Matt also works in the music industry as a performer and he is currently accompanying international drag superstar La Voix on her fabulous UK tour.
Matt has played in shows such as Wicked (UK tour and West End), Avenue Q (UK tour), Godspell (Lyric theatre and UK tour), Annie (UK tour), Jesus Christ Superstar (UK tour), Blood Brothers (UK tour), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK tour) and others.
Matt has worked as a Music Producer for RTL Television in Germany, Music Producer/Arranger for West End Live in London, and Composer for Fiction Factory Productions in Cardiff.
